Cactus App Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Cactus collects only the data necessary to provide and improve your hydration tracking experience:

• Profile information: weight, activity level, and climate provided during onboarding to calculate your daily hydration goal. This stays on your device.
• Hydration logs: drink entries, timestamps, and daily progress recorded as you track your water intake. These stay on your device.
• App preferences: language, unit system, reminder schedule, and notification settings.
• Anonymous analytics: app usage patterns, screen views, and crash reports collected via PostHog. No personally identifiable information is sent to analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Calculate and adjust your personalized daily hydration target based on your profile.
• Display your hydration history, streaks, and progress to help you build healthy habits.
• Improve the app through anonymous, aggregated usage analytics. We do not use your data for behavioral advertising or profiling.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly for app functionality:

• PostHog (EU cloud): receives anonymous product-usage events. We do not send personal identifiers to PostHog.
• Google AdMob: displays non-personalized ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad delivery but does not receive your hydration data.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service:

• Profile and hydration data live only on your device. There is no server copy. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of it.
• Anonymous analytics events held by PostHog are retained for up to 12 months, then automatically purged.
• If you request deletion of the anonymous analytics events tied to your device, we process it within 30 days. All on-device data is removed instantly when you uninstall.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access & export: your data is stored only on your device, so you already hold the full copy. For the anonymous analytics events we hold, you can request access by emailing privacy@trainrboost.com.
• Deletion: you can request deletion of the anonymous analytics events tied to your device; we process within 30 days. All on-device data is removed instantly when you uninstall.
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate personal data at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

Cactus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
