The Iron Code

Four rules. Zero excuses.

Arnie isn't another fitness app trying to be your friend. It's a tool built around four principles that have shaped serious lifters since the Arnold era. Same as it ever was.

  1. 01

    Rule 01

    Show up.

The iron doesn't care about your motivation. Tired? Stressed? Cold? Show up anyway. The bar moves the same whether you feel like it or not.

  2. 02

    Rule 02

    Log everything.

If it isn't written down, it didn't happen. Sets, reps, weight, RPE in half-points, the rest you actually took. Memory lies. Numbers don't.

  3. 03

    Rule 03

    Beat yesterday.

Progressive overload isn't a buzzword. It's the only thing that works. +2.5 kg, +1 rep, +0.5 RPE controlled. Small, measurable, relentless. Every session, you prove something.

  4. 04

    Rule 04

    No bullshit.

No social feed begging for likes. No AI coach pretending to know your body better than you do. No streak guilt designed to manipulate you. Just you, the iron, and your logbook.

No pain, no gain.

Built for lifters

The math is correct. The friction is gone.

Most workout loggers treat volume as a vibe and RPE as a sticker. Arnie treats them as math — and gets out of the way the rest of the time. Six things you can't get from a generic tracker.

1,323

Half-Point RPE Inline

RPE 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10 sit right next to the reps field. One tap, no modal. RIR is derived automatically. Autoregulation finally has the resolution it needs.

PR

Per-Lift e1RM & Tonnage

Every set updates your estimated 1RM and the weekly tonnage per lift. Peaking blocks now read cleanly: tonnage drops, e1RM climbs. The intensity dial is honest.

4-12w

MEV / MAV / MRV Per Muscle

Weekly hard-set counts color-coded against editable Renaissance-Periodization-style landmarks. Advanced lifters override defaults; beginners stay safe. Anatomical heatmap on top.

CSV Import from Hevy / Strong

Paste a CSV from any major lift tracker — sets, PRs, exercises, dates all carry over. Switching cost: zero. Years of history on day one.

CSV

Local-First, No Account

Your training stays on the device. No sign-up, no email required, no forced cloud. Export to CSV or JSON anytime. Your data, your gym, your rules.

ZERO

Zero Social Feed

No likes, no followers, no notifications begging you to stay consistent. Arnie is a tool, not a dopamine machine.

What it looks like

Built around the data. Nothing else.

Obsidian-on-orange dark mode. Tabular monospace numbers. Iron-plate aesthetic. Every screen is built around your sets — not around engagement loops.

FAQ

What lifters ask before downloading

How is Arnie different from Hevy or Strong?

Same logging-first DNA, different math. Arnie ships half-point RPE chips inline (not buried in a modal), per-muscle volume tracked against editable MEV / MAV / MRV landmarks, per-lift e1RM and tonnage updated on every set, and a mesocycle planner with deload. The CSV import means migrating in is one paste.

Is the free tier really free?

Yes. Unlimited workout logging, the full 1,323-exercise library, half-point RPE, per-lift e1RM, PR detection, and CSV import are all included with no limits. The free tier shows ads (interstitial after a finished workout, plus a 1-per-day cap on background returns). Arnie Pro removes ads and unlocks the advanced stats.

What does Arnie Pro unlock?

Mesocycle planner with deload weeks, anatomical muscle heatmap, per-lift strength curves with rolling intensity, advanced stats (fatigue trend, frequency, set quality), progress photos with private storage, CSV and JSON export backup, and ad-free training.

Can I import my data from Hevy or Strong?

Yes. Arnie reads CSV exports from every major lift tracker. Paste it in the import sheet and your sets, PRs, weights, dates, and exercise mappings carry over. The graphs and e1RM curves populate from day one — no empty-state purgatory.

Is my data private?

Local-first by default. No account, no email, no forced cloud sync. Optional backup is encrypted in transit and you control whether it's enabled. We don't sell training data — there is nothing to sell. Export everything anytime as CSV or JSON.

What's MEV / MAV / MRV?

Minimum Effective Volume, Maximum Adaptive Volume, Maximum Recoverable Volume — Renaissance-Periodization-style landmarks for weekly hard sets per muscle. Arnie ships RP-aligned defaults and lets advanced lifters override per muscle so the bar never lights up permanently red.

Does Arnie work offline?

Fully. Exercise library, your routines, your sessions — all on device. Cloud is optional, not required. Train in the basement of your gym with zero bars of signal.

Apple Watch support?

Coming. Phase 1 is the iPhone and Android logbook done right. Apple Watch and Wear OS are on the roadmap once the core is rock-solid.

Why is it called Arnie?

Arnie is the nickname of Arnold Schwarzenegger — the legend who turned bodybuilding from a fringe sport into a discipline anyone could pick up. The app honors that era: iron, sweat, numbers, no fluff. The name is the brief.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Anytime, from your App Store or Google Play account. Lifetime is a one-time payment with no auto-renewal. We don't run dark-pattern cancellation flows.
