Arnie App Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Arnie mobile application ("Arnie", "we") collects, uses, and protects your data when you train with the app.
Last updated: 3 May 2026
Data We Collect
Arnie is local-first. The data you create stays on your device unless you opt in to optional cloud backup. The data we may process is:
- Workout logs (exercises, sets, reps, weight, RIR, notes you type).
- Body metrics you enter manually (weight, measurements, optional progress photos).
- Profile info: training goal, experience level, units (kg/lb), language.
- Anonymized analytics events (screen views, feature usage) via PostHog.
- Crash reports if a bug occurs (no personal training data attached).
- Subscription receipts when you purchase Arnie Pro (handled by RevenueCat / Apple / Google).
How We Use Your Data
- Show your workouts, stats, and progress inside the app.
- Improve the app (find which features help, which don't, fix crashes).
- Validate your subscription and unlock Pro features.
- Show ads in the free tier (via Google AdMob) — disabled with Arnie Pro.
We do not sell your training data. We do not have a social feed. Your sets are between you and the iron.
Data Sharing
We share data with the strict minimum of providers needed to run the app:
- PostHog (EU servers) — anonymous analytics. No personal training data.
- RevenueCat — subscription state (purchase tokens only).
- Google AdMob — ads served in the free tier. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Apple / Google — payment processing for subscriptions.
Data Retention
Workout data lives on your device for as long as the app is installed. If you enable optional cloud backup, your data is encrypted in transit and stored only while the backup is active. You can delete it anytime from Settings → Data. Anonymous analytics events are retained for 12 months and then aggregated.
Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA)
- Export your full training history as CSV or JSON anytime (Settings → Data → Export).
- Delete your data and account (Settings → Data → Delete everything).
- Opt out of analytics (Settings → Privacy → Disable analytics).
- Request a copy of any data we hold about you by emailing privacy@trainrboost.com.
Children
Arnie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
